In Shiv Nagar Colony of Ayodhya Nagar Kotwali area, a wife committed suicide by hanging herself after a quarrel with her husband. Her maternal family informed the police. The police took the body in their custody and sent it for postmortem.
Sunil Kumar, a resident of Shivnagar Colony, was married to Kiran (36), a resident of Sokhawan, about 14 years ago. They have three children. The husband and wife had been fighting over various issues for quite some time. Late Friday evening, when they had a fight, the in-laws and the wife’s family gathered and a settlement was reached.

Due to this dispute, the husband went somewhere and did not return home. Meanwhile, at around 1:30 in the night, Kiran’s father called the city police station and informed them about Kiran’s body hanging from the noose. The police brought down the body and sent it for postmortem. After interrogating the husband and family members, they got information about the incident.
Inspector in-charge Ashwani Pandey said that during interrogation, the children of the deceased have informed about the suicide. Her parents are being questioned. No one has given a written complaint yet. They used to have disputes among themselves over financial problems and unemployment and other matters.
