Ward reduced to half, did not even get benefit of OAT – Ayodhya News

Ward reduced to half, did not even get benefit of OT.

Cabin built in the new emergency ward of the district hospital and patients admitted in half the ward.

Ayodhya. There is a competition in the district hospital to spend government money here and there. Perhaps this is the reason why the government treasury is being emptied in the name of useless works. The minor OT built in the new emergency ward is also an example of this. This OT could not run till date, but the beds in the new emergency ward definitely decreased. Due to shortage of beds, there is fighting every day.

When the district hospital received a huge budget in the last financial year, the officials made an elaborate plan to spend it. Citing the facilities of the patients, many works were done by claiming to improve the system. A lot of money was also spent for this. These actions also gave hope to the common people about improvement in the system, but this could not happen. Rather, these actions are now causing losses.

A new emergency ward with 12 beds was built next to the emergency OPD. By partitioning it, the officials made it a Minor OT. Whereas, due to the fullness of other wards including medical ward, children’s ward, this ward proved to be quite useful. Last year, when the outbreak of fever increased, patients could not easily find beds here. Two patients each had to be treated by lying on a stretcher or on a bed. In such a situation, despite the greater utility of this ward, the responsible halved it and made it a minor OT.

A lot of money was spent on building the cabin and repairing the resources. It was completed about two months ago, but it has not been inaugurated yet. Those responsible behind this had claimed that here the patients will undergo minor operations, dressings, plasters etc. The patients could not get this facility; on top of that, the beds were definitely reduced. If there is an outbreak like last year, then this time the shortage of beds is expected to increase further.

-Can’t comment about the work done in earlier times. Minor OT could not be started due to lack of human resources. But preparations are being made to activate the ward.
