By-elections were held in nine seats in UP on 20 November. CM Yogi stayed in Ayodhya on this day. During his stay of about two hours, he visited Hanuman Garhi and Ayodhya Ram temple.

CM Yogi reached Ram temple and performed aarti of Lord Shri Ram and offered prayers.

The Srirajagopuram of Sugriv Fort adjacent to Sri Ram Janmabhoomi Path was unveiled by CM Yogi Adityanath on Wednesday. It is 55 feet high and is unmatched in architecture. An entrance gate of Sugriv Fort was demolished during the construction of Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Path. Due to which the Gopuram gate has been constructed afresh.

Jagadguru Swami Vishvesh Prapancharya, the head of Sugriva Fort, said that in the southern tradition, Gopuram is called the entrance gate. It is a monumental arch, Gopuram is also called Vimanam. This is the way to reach the main sanctum sanctorum of the temple. Gopuram is an important part of the temple architecture.

In the southern tradition it is called the gate of this divine country i.e. the temple. During the construction of Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Path corridor, a part of this temple complex was included, due to which the entrance gate had to be demolished. Now after the corridor has been built, the entrance of Sugriva Fort has been rebuilt in South Indian style.
