Two killed in collision between truck and bus

Vehicle damaged after accident on Lucknow-Gorakhpur National Highway – Samvad

Sohawal (Ayodhya). On Sunday morning, a Volvo bus collided with a truck moving ahead of it on the Lucknow-Gorakhpur highway. Two passengers travelling in the bus died in the accident and three passengers were seriously injured. Police took all of them to the district hospital with the help of villagers, from where two passengers were referred to Lucknow in critical condition. The accident took place near the Sohawal over bridge in Raunahi police station area. Police got the bus parked on the side and restored traffic.

The air-conditioned Volvo bus registered in Nagaland was going to Gorakhpur carrying passengers in the morning. Due to high speed, the driver lost control of the bus and it collided with the truck moving ahead. The collision was so strong that the front part of the bus was completely damaged and there was screaming among the passengers. Police reached the spot and took five seriously injured passengers to the district hospital.

The doctor on duty there declared Jitendra (40), resident of Belipar, Gorakhpur, and Chhotu Dubey (19), resident of Bahraich, dead. At the same time, treatment was started by recruiting Siraj (52), resident of Biraupur in Kotwali Nagar area of ​​Basti, Kapurchand (50), resident of Jaipur in Nagar Kotwali area of ​​Jaipur, Rajasthan and Dharmendra Kumar (26), resident of Gopalpur in Kumarganj police station area. Meanwhile, when the condition became serious, Siraj and Kapurchand were referred to Lucknow.

Police station incharge Raunahi Pankaj Singh said that perhaps the truck driver took a sudden break. Due to this a speeding bus collided. The accident happened at around eight in the morning. After the accident, the truck driver fled along with the vehicle. On receiving the complaint, further action will be taken by registering a case.
