Top discussion on the defeat in Ayodhya became the discussion of the country and the world

State President Bhupendra Chaudhary holding a meeting with officials at the BJP office in Sahadatganj.

Adarsh Shukla

Ayodhya. On the instructions of the top leadership, the review of BJP’s defeat in Ayodhya in the Lok Sabha elections has begun. The party’s state president Bhupendra Singh Chaudhary himself tried to find out the reasons for the defeat by holding assembly constituency-wise meetings. During this, many untouched aspects also came to light. The state president will submit his report to the central leadership.

BJP’s state president Chaudhary reached Ayodhya on Wednesday. On the first day of his two-day stay, he held a review meeting of Milkipur, Bikapur and Ayodhya assembly constituencies. The meeting of Rudauli and Dariyabad assembly constituencies will be held on Thursday. Here he first tried to know the reasons for the defeat on the Milkipur reserved seat. The current SP MP Awadhesh Prasad has been an MLA from this seat. Now a by-election is to be held on this seat.

In the organisational meeting held in Inayat Nagar, first separate talks were held with the office bearers of all the mandals. 15 to 16 office bearers from each mandal attended. After this, discussions were held with the assembly constituency in-charge, convener and district unit office bearers from this assembly constituency. Media was kept away from these meetings. No official information was given about what happened in the meeting. In this series, meetings of Bikapur assembly constituency were held at the party’s central office in Sahadatganj and Ayodhya assembly constituency in Circuit House.

Sources told that same procedure was followed in the meetings of all the three assembly constituencies. Mandals and district level officials of the respective assembly constituency were asked to tell the main reasons for the defeat. Many reasons were put forward in front of the BJP state president in all the three assembly constituencies. Some of these were similar in nature. Officials openly told that the misleading environment created by the opposition about ending the constitution if BJP gets 400 seats caused a lot of damage. BJP failed to stop this. Similarly, many sections of SC and OBC, which were associated with the party in the last two Lok Sabha elections, got scattered.

The workers of all the three assembly constituencies gave the same reason that the legitimate work of the party workers was ignored by the officers and employees in the police station, tehsil, block and district level government offices. This led to disappointment among the workers and they were not as active in the elections as before. There was a great lack of coordination between the local officials and workers of the assembly constituency and the candidate, his election team and the district officials.

Asked the reason for the disappointing victory in Ayodhya assembly constituency

The main focus of the state president was to know the reason for the disappointing victory by a margin of just a few thousand votes in the Ayodhya assembly constituency. The biggest question was that why did the party fare so badly in the Ram temple, which was the topic of discussion in the elections across the country. That too when the elections were held just a few months after the Pran Pratishtha of Ramlala in the new temple. It was told that many development works were done in Ayodhya, especially in Ramnagari and its surroundings. Roads were widened. Due to this, a large number of people had to lose their homes and shops. Such people thought it better not to step out of the house to vote instead of voting for any other party. Due to this, the voting percentage also decreased. Many types of restrictions from the security point of view in Ramnagari had angered the local people from within.

He also expressed his views on the selection of the candidate

In the review meetings, some officials also expressed their views regarding the selection of the candidate. They believed that if any other candidate had been put forward, the picture would have been different. The reason behind this was also given. In the meeting, the issue of the video of BJP candidate Lallu Singh’s alleged statement that the Constitution will be changed if the party gets 400 seats going viral was also raised. It was told that at some places the candidate also said that you do not vote for us, but for PM Modi and CM Yogi. This issue also came up that the candidate had gone to some such places where the people were worried about losing their land and houses due to road widening. When such people informed about their fear and requested for some solution, they were not handled properly.

The suggestions of the workers will be included in the report: Bhupendra

State President of Bharatiya Janata Party Bhupendra Chaudhary said that separate meetings were held with workers of different assembly constituencies of Faizabad Lok Sabha seat. During this, party workers and senior leaders put forward many suggestions. These will be included in the report to be given to the party leadership. In the review, what was lacking in the election campaign, what was the mistake, what we could not convey to the public, all these points were reviewed. Upcoming programs and campaigns were also discussed. Despite the public being misled by the negative agenda of the opposition, BJP has got the mandate to form the government for the third time. Narendra Modi has become the Prime Minister of the country for the third consecutive time.
