Ayodhya. The model code of conduct for the Lok Sabha elections ended on Thursday evening. Now there are preparations to speed up the development work in the district again. Tender will be issued soon for the second phase of the Chaurasi Kosi Parikrama Marg. Apart from this, DPRs of many other public utility projects are being prepared by various departments.
Although, even while the code of conduct was in effect, the works which had already been approved and the tender process had been completed, continued. Now those works will also start whose proposals were ready, but the tender process along with approval was still pending. The officials of the concerned departments have now started working in this direction. District Magistrate Nitish Kumar said that proposals will be prepared for the projects which are to be expanded in the next phase or for the new works which are to be started and tenders will be issued.

Shri Ayodhyaji Tirtha Vikas Parishad and Municipal Corporation will give many new gifts of development in the coming time. An action plan is being prepared for this. Works have been proposed by many departments in this. Chief Executive Officer of the Council and Municipal Commissioner Santosh Sharma said that water screen will be installed at the Aarti Ghat of Saryu. Sheds will be constructed for devotees on Rampath and Dharmapath, the ponds which have been left out in the earlier action plan will also be renovated. Such signage will be installed at other important places along with the airport and railway station.
Development Authority will send the proposal to the government, blueprint is ready
Proposals for several works are to be sent to the government by the Ayodhya Development Authority. Their DPRs are being prepared. Authority Vice President Ashwini Pandey said that work is to be done to develop the facade on the railway station and Naka Road along with the Panchkosi and Chaudah Kosi Parikrama Marg. Surwari lake will be renovated and beautified. There are preparations to develop an eco village on Samda lake. All these works will be started after getting approval from the government.
558 crores will be spent on sewer and drinking water projects
Rs 538 crore will be spent on the sewer and drinking water project in Ayodhyadham and Cantt. According to Anand Dubey, Executive Engineer of Jal Nigam Urban, 126 km of sewer pipeline is to be laid in the new areas of the city under Amrit Yojana. Rs 274 crore will be spent on this. Through this, 27,900 houses will be able to connect with sewer connection. Four sewage pumping stations will also be built. XEN Sanchay Shukla of Jal Nigam said that a water treatment plant is to be established at a cost of Rs 264 crore. Through this, the water of Saryu will be made potable and supplied to homes through taps.
