In the Milkipur by-election of Ayodhya, Samajwadi Party has made big allegations against BJP and has also targeted the government and the district administration. MP Awadhesh Prasad and former minister Pawan Pandey have alleged that the District Election Officer has made Sanjay Shukla, who was a councilor of BJP several times and the party official, as the presiding officer. This allegation was made by MP Awadhesh Prasad, Minister Pawan Pandey and other officials during a joint press conference. SP leaders said that there are many names in the list who are BJP officials and have also been councilors. Sanjay Shukla, who was the councilor of Ayodhya, and who is said to be a teacher of Sanskrit school, has been made the presiding officer. SP leaders alleged that the local district administration, under pressure from the government, had violated the code of conduct in the by-elections by putting BJP-supporting employees on election duty. MP Awadhesh Prasad said that a complaint has been made to District Election Officer Chandra Vijay Singh.
