Six villages of Sadar tehsil are surrounded by flood water. People of the coastal areas of Sohawal and Rudauli tehsil, who were scared of the possibility of flood, heaved a sigh of relief but now erosion has increased in many villages here.
On Sunday, the water level of Saryu was recorded at 92.99 meters which is 26 cm above the red mark of 92.73 meters. According to the report of the Central Water Commission, the rise in the water level of Saryu has stopped since Saturday evening. Still, it is above the danger mark. Its uncertainty remains. In such a situation, the water police is also being cautious for the safety of the devotees at the bathing ghats of Saryu in Ayodhya Dham.
According to the Pura Bazaar representative, erosion has increased in Madarhiya village of Rampur Puwari Majha of Sadar tehsil. The village is surrounded by water from all sides. Six villages of Purabazar are surrounded by flood water. Rampur Puwari Majha’s Pradhan Ramesh Nishad said that erosion has increased in Madarhiya village. Electric poles have also come under its grip, which are getting electricity supply. Departmental employees were asked several times to stop the supply but it has not been stopped till now. Due to this, there is a danger of accident along with current flow.
On the other hand, flood water has surrounded Kaithi Manjha village of Rudauli. Hundreds of acres of crops have rotted and fallen. Sarwar Singh, a resident of Noorpur, said that the main occupation of the families settled here is farming and milk production. During the last decade, hundreds of acres of land have been submerged in the river. Seeing the rising and falling water level of the river, thousands of people of dozens of villages on the banks are scared of the possibility of flood. Revenue Inspector Anil Yadav said that information about erosion has not been received yet.
Heavy rain in Naka area, rest of the city yearned for drizzle
