Ayodhya. The Special Research Branch of State GST (SIB) raided 40 establishments in May. On receiving all the discrepancies, Rs 1.79 crore has been deposited from them. This time the team of Division A has taken the most action.

Ayodhya zone of State GST consists of all nine districts of Ayodhya and Devipatan Mandal. These include three divisions for SIB. SIB teams work under the leadership of one joint tax commissioner in every division. In May, they were targeted to deposit Rs 3.55 crore on tax evasion. In relation to this, Division A had checked 17 establishments and deposited Rs 70 lakh.
Division B examined 14 establishments and deposited Rs 44.87 lakh while the achievement percentage of Gonda division has been the best. The team here had a target to deposit only 75 lakh rupees. In relation to this, the team raided nine establishments and has deposited Rs 64.40 lakh on getting disturbances, which is 85.87% of the target. Whereas, Division A and B have been 50% and 32% respectively against the target.
Additional Commissioner Grade-1 Santosh Kumar said that SIB teams have done better this time. This is a continuous action. Traders should be ready to pay taxes to avoid action.
Like last year, SIB teams are also taking a rampage action. By May last year, a revenue collection was Rs 3.80 crore. This time by May, a target was to deposit Rs 7.10 crore, against which Rs 3.78 crore has been deposited so far.
