Chief Minister and saints were present in the program organized on Wednesday at Digambar Akhara in Ayodhya
Ayodhya. The statue of Paramhans Ramchandra Das, the great hero of the Ram Mandir movement, was installed in Digambar Akhara after two decades. CM Yogi Adityanath unveiled the statue on the 21st death anniversary of Paramhans in a grand ceremony on Wednesday. During this, the CM underlined the contribution of Paramhans and said that Paramhans made the Ram Janmabhoomi movement a mission of his life. The construction of Shri Ram temple is not a destination, but a stop.
The CM said that during the unveiling, looking at the statue of Paramhans, it seemed as if he was about to say something. When the resolution of the saints for the construction of Ram Mandir rose together in one voice, the path for the construction of the temple in Ayodhya was paved. People used to say that if the decision was in favour of Ram Mandir, then rivers of blood would flow on the roads.
The saints tried their best to find a solution to the problem through dialogue, but when the avenues of dialogue ended and the government’s stubbornness started coming in the way, the revered saints chose the path of struggle in a democratic way. When the matter went to the court, a solution to the problem emerged after the formation of the double engine government of BJP.
The CM said that we have to establish a society free from casteism, for which Lord Shri Ram had dedicated his life. A traveller’s rest house is being built in Ayodhya in the name of Nishad Raj. An international airport has been built in the name of Maharishi Valmiki in Ayodhya Dham, the birthplace of Shri Ram.
Lord Shri Ram had united everyone and we too have to follow those paths through the values and ideals of Lord Ram. Mahant Gaurishankar Das, Mahant Girish Das, Gyani Gurujit Singh, Mahant Janmejaya Sharan also addressed the unveiling ceremony. Mahant Suresh Das of Digambar Akhara presided over the function and was conducted by Dr. Ramanand Das. CM Yogi was welcomed by successor Mahant Ram Lakhan Das and Ashutosh Singh.
Jagadguru Ramanujacharya Swami Vasudevacharya, Jagadguru Dr. Raghavacharya, Mahant Dharmadas, Mahant Ramsharan Das, Mahant Awadhesh Das, Mahant Vivek Acharya, Vijay Kaushal Maharaj, Agriculture Minister Surya Pratap Shahi, Mayor Girish Pati Tripathi, MLA Ved Prakash Gupta, Amit Singh Chauhan, Ramchandra Yadav were present in the ceremony.
Connectivity of Ayodhya increased with the country and the world
Along with the construction of the temple in the Ram Janmabhoomi complex, Ayodhya is also being beautified. People coming to Ayodhya after five-seven years are amazed. The gift of an international airport has been received here. The connectivity of Ayodhya Dham with the country and the world has increased. Excellent railway facilities have been received. Ram ki Paadi, monastery and temples have been beautified.
SP MLAs were present on the stage
SP MLAs Abhay Singh and Rakesh Pratap Singh were also present on the stage of Paramhans Ramchandra Das’ statue unveiling ceremony. Both the MLAs also paid their respects to Paramhans from the stage. Chairs of both the MLAs were placed in the row behind CM Yogi Adityanath.
Paramhansa was like a guru
CM said that Paramhans Ramchandra Dasji Maharaj was like my revered Guru. While going from Gorakhpur to Ayodhya, Lucknow and Prayagraj, Guruji used to ask me whether I had visited Digambar Akhara of Ayodhya, enquired about Paramhans ji’s well-being. If I forgot, he would also scold me. He used to say that he is my Guru Bhai. Paramhans ji used to sit at his door and talk to people with fun. He lived his life for Sanatan tradition.
The intersection should be named after Paramhans
In the ceremony, Jagadguru Vasudevacharya Vidyabhaskar said that a square in Ayodhya should be named after Paramhans so that his memory remains alive forever. Jagadguru Ram Dinesh Acharya said that a personality like Paramhans is born once in centuries. Due to his outspokenness, he was given the title of Prativaad Bhayanak.
