Supreme Court prevented from passing any new order
The Supreme Court on Thursday gave an important decision related to the Places of Worship (Special Provisions) Act 1991. In this, the Court currently restrained all the courts across the country from passing any effective interim or final order, including the order of survey, in the pending cases against the existing religious structures. Along with this, the apex court has given four weeks time to the Center to file the affidavit.
After the order of the Supreme Court, the place of worship law has again come into discussion. Many opposition parties have welcomed the Supreme Court order. Whereas petitioner and BJP leader Ashwini Upadhyay has said that access to the court has been blocked under the Places of Worship Act.
