Ayodhya. The municipal corporation employee demanded five thousand rupees to lift the dead cow. When the convenience fee was not paid, the carcass of the cow was not lifted. The carcass of the cow has been lying there for three days. People living in the colony are troubled by its foul smell. Municipal commissioner Santosh Sharma has ordered an inquiry into this matter.
Three days ago a cow died in an empty house in Ranopali area of Ayodhya Kotwali. The local people informed the municipal corporation officials about this over the phone. Even after complaining, the officials did not take cognizance of it. Meanwhile, when a local resident asked a municipal corporation employee to remove the dead cow, he asked for a convenience fee of Rs 5000 for this. The employee said that the carcass of the dead cow will not be removed until the money is received.
Local people told that no employee of the municipal corporation came to remove the carcass of the dead cow as the convenience fee was not received. In such a situation, for the last three days the local people are troubled by the smell emanating from it. The carcass of the dead cow is rotting in the same empty house. Angry people have also lodged a complaint about this on the Chief Minister’s portal. Meanwhile, on receiving information about the case, the Municipal Commissioner has ordered an inquiry. He has instructed Additional Municipal Commissioner Anil Singh to investigate the matter and submit a report within three days. The Municipal Commissioner said that on the basis of the investigation report, strict action will be taken against the employee accused of demanding the convenience fee.
