Ayodhya. Ramnagari will be developed as a sustainable city. For this, public awareness will be promoted in the field of natural landscaping and environment while conserving water sources along with plantation. In this connection, the Ayodhya Development Authority Board has approved the development of Ayodhya Green Fund.
The meeting of the approval committee of this fund was held on Monday under the chairmanship of Commissioner Gaurav Dayal. The commissioner said that this fund will have many sources. Five percent of the cost of residential and commercial projects to be developed by the authority will be charged in the name of Ayodhya Green Fund.
Under facility management, 10 percent of the lease rent received from various firms will also be transferred. Apart from this, the amount received from other firms, companies and individuals through CSR and donations will become the source of income for the fund.
Through this fund, plantation and forestry will be promoted in the Ayodhya area. Efforts will be made at many levels to prevent pollution. Plantation will be encouraged through social forestry and Miyawaki method. The system of continuous monitoring and maintenance of the planted trees will be made effective. The water sources of Ayodhya will be conserved and restored. Work will be done towards promoting alternative energy sources.
Works proposed for the first phase from July to September
In the meeting, various works proposed through funds in the first phase from July to September were discussed. It was decided that a nursery will be established. Plants will be prepared for plantation on a large scale in it. Adequate number of gardeners and security guards will be deployed for the operation of the nursery. Plantation will be done at 108 ponds and water sources of Ayodhya.
Plants will also be planted in 66 parks of the Municipal Corporation. This will include 50 types of Ramayana period and local plants. In-charge DM and CDO Rishiraj, Municipal Commissioner Santosh Sharma, Vice President of Ayodhya Development Authority Ashwini Pandey, Divisional Forest Officer Pranav Jain and District Horticulture Officer were present in the meeting.
