After Ram Janmotsav, now preparations for Janaki Janmotsav have also started. The manifestation festival of Janak Nandini Mata Janaki will be celebrated this year on Baisakh Shukla Navami. The difference in Udaya Tithi has also come to light regarding the birth anniversary of Janaki.
The festival of Janaki Navami will be celebrated in Chhoti Devkali temple on 16th May, while in the temples of Vaishnav tradition, the birth anniversary will be celebrated on 17th May. This time, preparations are being made for Janaki’s birth anniversary in Ramlala’s court also.
The nine-day ritual of Baisakh Navratri will be held from May 9 with the recitation of Durga Saptashati in Chhoti Devkali, the most prestigious goddess temple of Shakta tradition in Ayodhya. On this occasion, the 89th anniversary of Devkali Samaj, an organization that organizes festivals in the Devkali temple, will also be celebrated. During this time, on the festival of Maha Ashtami, on 15th May, a grand procession of Mother Goddess will be taken out with much fanfare in the entire city from Chhoti Devkali temple.
Shri Ram Mahayagya will be held in Shri Ram-Janaki temple
Shri Ram Mahayagya will be organized traditionally in the presence of Bindu Gadyacharya Mahant Devendra Prasadcharya on the occasion of Janaki Navami at Dashrath Rajmahal Bada Sthan. This Mahayagya will be organized in Shri Ram-Janaki temple located in Makhauda Dham. The festival of Janak Nandini will also be celebrated with devotion and gaiety at Kanak Bhawan.
