A large number of people have got employment from Ram Mandir. This has increased the GDP of Ayodhya by 2%. 1,000 people have been given employment by Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Tirtha Kshetra Trust. They also get the facility of PF and gratuity along with salary.
While the construction of the temple has given wings to the hotel and homestay business, small businesses are also flourishing. People are earning 500 to 1,000 rupees daily by selling Ramlala’s photo, locket, pen, water bottle, sandalwood on forehead.
The income of small shopkeepers quadrupled
The income of sellers of puja material, flowers and Hanumangarhi prasad has increased fourfold. Small shopkeeper Rajkumar Yadav says that his income was 400 to 500 rupees earlier. It has now increased to 2500 rupees per day. Sachin Gupta, who applies sandalwood tilak, says that he earns up to 500 rupees daily. Wheelchair driver Arjun Sahu earns 1,200 to 1500 rupees a day.
