The entire system has collapsed due to the huge crowd of Ram devotees coming to Ayodhya. Be it hotels, pandals, dharamshala or ashrams, they are completely filled. There is no space left even at the bus stand and railway station. Seeing the huge crowd of devotees, the temple administration has requested the devotees not to come in a hurry for darshan, but to come for darshan later, so that it would be easier to make arrangements. Also, to enter the temple for darshan, one gate was made for men and one gate was made for women. This has now been increased to three gates for men and three gates for women. It is estimated that with this, all the devotees who have reached Ayodhya till now will get darshan. After this, it will be easier to make arrangements for the coming devotees.
According to Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra Trust sources, they had estimated that after the construction of the temple, one to one and a half lakh people could come for darshan every day, but on the very first day more than five lakh devotees had darshan of Ramlala. The entire system collapsed due to such a huge crowd of devotees. Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath immediately ordered the entire system to be tightened and arranged for additional security forces to handle the crowd. Buses and trains coming to Ayodhya have also had to be limited. It was possible to control the number of devotees only after Yogi’s appeal.
The local administration of Ayodhya also had no experience in handling such a huge crowd, hence the situation went haywire. Lack of even basic facilities was felt everywhere. However, the administration estimates that now it will be possible to control the crowd in the coming time.
BJP also plans to bring a large number of devotees from all over the country to the Ram temple to have darshan of the Lord. It has been started from 23rd January itself, which will continue till 25th March. But considering the situation in Ayodhya, the number of people taken for darshan of Ramlala can be reduced to some extent.
Concerned about handling the situation on Ram Navami
Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra Trust is worried that if such a large number of devotees are coming to Ayodhya for darshan from now on, then a large number of devotees may reach Ayodhya on the day of Ram Navami. Handling this crowd can prove to be a big challenge for the trust and administration. According to the information, the temple and local administration will estimate the number of devotees in advance and prepare to make arrangements.
