In view of the sudden increase in the crowd of devotees after the consecration of life in the Ayodhya temple, the police hastily extended the route diversion till January 26. Its adverse effects were visible from Tuesday night itself. By Wednesday morning, long queues of big vehicles were formed between Kalesar and Baghagada, a distance of about 11 km. The police first started returning everyone, but it was not easy due to the traffic jam. People traveling between Lucknow-Ayodhya and Gorakhpur had to face a lot of trouble due to this.
After this, the police stopped the vehicles going from Kalesar towards Nausad from the city side and somehow diverted them. The jam could be controlled in the afternoon. The drivers and common people who were stuck in the jam for about six to seven hours faced a lot of trouble.
Actually, there has been a huge crowd of devotees in Ayodhya. Seeing this, the police immediately stopped the movement of vehicles on the Gorakhpur-Lucknow highway. Due to stopping of vehicles, there was a long queue of vehicles for a distance of about 11 km from Kalesar Zero Point to Baghagada.
