Ayodhya. Dr. Ram Manohar Lohia Avadh University’s undergraduate and postgraduate semester exams will begin from Friday in three shifts and will continue till July 9. Despite all the opposition from the teachers’ union and students, the university administration is firm on its decision. On Thursday also, students of Saket College took out a procession shouting slogans against the exam and blocked Rampath, but their efforts did not work in postponing the exam. At the same time, the university administration has issued a final notice and informed about the exam schedule.

According to the information received from the university administration, a total of 464 centers have been set up in seven districts affiliated to the university for the examination. A total of 5,35,654 students will appear in the graduation and post graduation. The university’s examination controller Umanath said that the examinations are starting from May 31 in three shifts. Preparations for this have been completed. 4,36,348 students will appear in the graduation examination. The post graduation level examination will start from June 21. Out of these, 99,306 students will appear in the examination.

He informed that the NEP graduation BA, BSc and BCom second semester examination will be held from 07:00 am to 09:00 am, second shift examination will be held from 10:00 am to 12:00 pm and third shift examination will be held from 02:00 pm to 04:00 pm. Five flying squads have been formed for the purity of the examination. Apart from this, CCTV cameras of the examination centers will be monitored from the control room of the university.

Saket College has played an important role in the high voltage drama going on for the past one month regarding the examination. Till Wednesday, the teachers here were not ready to conduct the examination. But after the letter of the regional higher education officer came, the situation became normal. Here two centre heads had even refused to take charge. After this, on Thursday, Principal Prof. Abhay Singh took this responsibility. As soon as they got the information about conducting the examination, the students here started protesting. From the morning itself, the students opened a front against Chief Proctor Prof. Anil Singh and the Principal and started raising slogans of Murdabad. They took out a procession in the college campus and blocked Rampath for some time. The police got the road blockade cleared by convincing them.
