Ayodhya. Efforts have now been started to get the unique bank of Ayodhya, which has the capital of Ramnam, registered in the Guinness Book of World Records. It is unique because in this bank, not money and wealth, but the capital in the name of Ram is deposited.

International Shri Sitaramnam Bank was established 54 years ago in the year 1970 by Mahant Nritya Gopal Das, Chairman of Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra Trust. After opening their account, Ram devotees write Sitaram in the copy received from here and deposit it. Its proper entry is made in the passbook.

Bank manager Puneet Ramdas claims that this is the largest Ramnam bank in Asia. The bank has more than 35 thousand accounts and also has 136 branches abroad. In the passbooks given here, Sitaram is written on all the pages.

The bank has a collection of 20 thousand crore Sitaram written booklets donated by devotees. Let us say that Rs 20 thousand crore capital is deposited in the bank. Because of these specialties, an application has been made by Maniram Das Chhawni Trust to register the name of the bank in the Guinness Book of World.

Puneet Ramdas told that free booklet and red pen is given by the bank. Accounts of each account are also maintained. To open a bank account, one has to write Sitaram at least five lakh times. Then a passbook is issued. Account holders also send booklets by post, the ledger of which is kept safe in the bank.
