Yes, on the occasion of Raksha Bandhan, such a message was given by Deputy Inspector Ranjit Yadav posted in the office of IG Praveen Kumar of Ayodhya. By getting a Rakhi tied on his wrist by a Muslim girl Sabina Khatoon, he not only gave the message of Hindu and Muslim unity but also furthered the flow of social harmony.

Shabina travelled about 65 km from Mawai in Rudauli assembly constituency of Ayodhya and reached Ranjit’s residence in the police line with her brothers Rehan, Bilal, Mohammad Khan and Arshlan. Here she not only tied a rakhi to Ranjit but also fed him sweets with her own hands.
Ranjit fed sweets to his adopted sister and wished her a happy Rakshabandhan and gave her a gift. For the past five years, Sabina has been tying a Rakhi on Ranjit’s wrist. Ranjit, an associate of the IG office, said that he always tries to create a different identity for Ayodhya. That is why he keeps trying from time to time. He helps poor children in their education and plays his role in maintaining communal harmony.
