Uttar Pradesh Governor Anandiben Patel said that be it birthday or wedding anniversary, go to Anganwadi centers or government schools to make these special occasions memorable, distribute sweets and plant trees to children. The Governor was addressing a tree plantation program organized at the Indian Army bomb explosive company campus in Barabanki on Wednesday. He also strongly honored all the employees and children with chocolate and rituals, strengthening the campaign ‘Ek tree mother’s name’.

The Governor said, “Today children have to keep a nest in homes to show birds. Why did such a situation mean to save the environment.” Many dignitaries including Minister of State Satish Sharma, District Panchayat President Rajrani Rawat, MLC Angad Singh, Avnish Singh Patel, MLA Sakendra Verma, DM Shashank Tripathi, Superintendent of Police Arpit Vijayvargiya and Arvind Maurya were present on the occasion.
To strengthen public awareness towards environmental protection and climate change, Uttar Pradesh Assembly Speaker Satish Mahana planted saplings at the Assembly Main Gate Complex, Lucknow under the ‘Plantation Maha Abhiyan’.

Under the ‘Name of a tree mother – 2.0’ campaign at Baba Saheb Bhimrao Ambedkar University, 2100 saplings in 10 seconds, students, students, army personnel and people from many institutions gathered to register the name in the Guinness Book of World Records.
