Kumarganj. Agriculture Minister Surya Pratap Shahi said that the government is working rapidly for the marketing of natural, cow-based and organic. Organic testing labs will be set up in all agricultural universities. He was addressing the divisional Kharif productivity seminar organized by Ayodhya and Devipatan divisions at Acharya Narendra Dev Agricultural University.
He said that Uttar Pradesh is at number three in the country in exporting the products of farmers. This is the first time that 40 quintals of mangoes from Uttar Pradesh have been exported to America and gram flour from Gorakhpur to Singapore. The government is now cultivating maize in 75 districts of the state. The state will have to work fast to reach the national average in the cultivation of millets. The Agriculture Minister inaugurated the event by planting paddy in the educational field of the Agriculture University.
Special guest Minister of State for Agriculture Baldev Singh Aulakh said that farmers are being given subsidy on getting electricity connection. This will be given in future also. Agriculture Production Commissioner Dr. Manoj Singh said that if farmers level the land on time and sow through line sowing, they can increase the yield. For the convenience of farmers, work is being done to build hi-tech nurseries in every district.
Vice Chancellor Dr. Bijendra Singh said that the university is preparing nurseries of mushrooms, fruits, flowers, vegetables along with flower cultivation. The university will give one lakh plants to the farmers for free. Additional Chief Secretary Agriculture Dr. Devesh Chaturvedi said that farmers should spray nano urea in their fields with the help of drone didi. This will save money and time for the farmers. The Agriculture and Tourism Department is working on agrotourism in villages. During this, six progressive farmers of Ayodhya who did excellent work in various fields were also honored. DM, CDO and Agriculture Department officials of Ayodhya and Devipatan Mandal were present in the seminar.
Paint made from cow dung was the center of attraction
Kumarganj. In the meeting, the guests launched the website of Prasadam packets. It is manufactured by Rani Laxmibai Mahila Swayam Sahayata Samuha. It will also be available on Flipkart in the coming days. The special thing about these stalls was that a paint stall was set up by Sakhi Prerna Mahila Laghu Udyog, which was made from cow dung. Stall operator Sangeeta said that applying this paint in the house causes the temperature to drop by five degrees. Among those who set up the stalls were Amit Kumar Sharma, Ajay Rathi, Krishna Kumar Giri, Rahul, Shyam Narayan, Pradeep Kumar Verma and Sarita.
