Bikapur. A contract bank employee posted at Bank of Baroda Chaure Bazar in Kotwali Bikapur has been accused of raping a story teller by luring her with marriage. Police have registered a case against the accused bank employee.
A 26-year-old woman from Kurebhar police station area of Sultanpur district said that she is a storyteller. About four years ago she met Manish Pandey, a resident of Patijiya Buzurg in Chapiya police station area of Gonda. Manish works as a contract worker in the Bank of Baroda Chaure Bazar Bikapur branch. After getting acquainted, Manish grew closer to her. Despite her refusal, he continued to have physical relations with her. He was living with her in Ayodhya for the last four years. She asked him to marry her several times, but Manish kept postponing it.
The narrator said that he came to know from sources that Manish Pandey got engaged in the month of April. When she asked Manish, he locked her in a room and raped her. When she went to meet him in the bank on August 6 to talk to him, he threatened to kill her and drove her away. Police Inspector Lalchand Saroj said that a case has been registered against the accused on the basis of the girl’s complaint. The victim’s statement, medical examination and legal action are being taken.
