Three mobile phones were found buried under the ground near the high security barrack of Ayodhya district jail. After this, three prison guards deployed for the security of the barrack were suspended immediately. Along with setting up a departmental inquiry, a case has been registered under the Prison Act against the four prisoners who were using the phones.
District Jail’s Jailor Jitendra Kumar told in the FIR that the belongings of the prisoners lodged in the high security barrack of the jail were being checked. During this, soil was seen protruding near the support wire of the electric pole outside the barrack, so digging was done at that place. Three keypad mobile phones and SIM cards were found from the spot, which were seized.

During investigation it was found that the mobile phone was being used by Ankit Agrahari, resident of Lohri Dhanpatganj in Kurebhar police station area of Sultanpur, who was lodged in the high security barrack, Sachin Jaiswal, resident of Barun Bazar Deoria in Inayat Nagar police station area, Shyam Yadav, resident of Sahabganj Khurdabad in the city Kotwali area of the district and Anoop Bhati, resident of Sakipur in Surajpur police station area of Gautam Buddh Nagar. In-charge Inspector Kotwali Nagar, Ashwini Pandey, said that a case has been registered against the accused and the matter is being investigated.
Senior Jail Superintendent of Ayodhya Jail, UP Mishra, says that prima facie, jail guards Ajay Sharma, Pappu Yadav and Suresh Kumar have been suspended after finding negligence in surveillance. The matter is being investigated. Strict action will be taken against every employee found guilty.
