BJP is definitely excited by the Pasi card in Milkipur by-election, but this is not the first experiment of other parties against Awadhesh Prasad. Eight times in the assembly elections held in Sohawal and Milkipur since 1985, BJP and other opposition parties adopted the Pasi factor against Awadhesh Prasad but did not get success.

SP MP Awadhesh Prasad has contested 13 assembly elections since 1974. In this he has been successful nine times. Seven times he has been elected MLA from Sohawal assembly seat of the district, while he has contested three elections from Milkipur seat, in which he has won twice. If we look at all the past elections, almost every time the major parties have fielded candidates from the Pasi community. In this, he has foiled the moves of major parties eight times.
