Chief Minister Yogi himself has been commanding the BJP’s election campaign for Milkipur since the beginning. Recently, when the name of Chandrabhanu Paswan was announced as the candidate by BJP, many adverse situations emerged. Former MLA Gorakhnath Baba, Ramu Priyadarshi and BJP District General Secretary Radheshyam Tyagi, who were among the strong contenders for the ticket, stayed away from the nomination meeting and nomination of the candidate.

Not only this, despite there being 75,000 Brahmin voters in Milkipur, when the posters and banners of the party candidate’s nomination meeting were put up in the assembly constituency, the picture of former MLA Khabbu Tiwari was missing in it. There was a sharp reaction regarding this among the Brahmin community in the assembly constituency. Under these circumstances, in the first phase, State Agriculture Minister Surya Pratap Shahi and Jal Shakti Minister Swatantra Dev Singh took the initiative and met the angry BJP District General Secretary along with former MLAs at his house.
