The festival of Makar Sankranti was celebrated in Ramnagari Ayodhya on Tuesday. Here faith seemed to outweigh the cold. Despite the severe cold, devotees gathered in large numbers and took a dip in the holy Salila Saryu. After bathing and worshiping Lord Surya, along with donating sesame seeds, khichdi and donating cows, a crowd of devotees flocked towards the major temples.
