Kotwali Nagar Police has exposed the robbery of Rs 5.50 lakh that took place in broad daylight in Ramnagari. Two accused have been arrested in the police encounter. While two accused escaped taking advantage of the darkness. During the encounter, both the robbers were shot in the legs. Both were treated in the district hospital. SP City Madhuban Singh said that on December 27, near the Roadways Bus Stand of Kotwali Nagar, two bike-riding miscreants had looted a bag containing Rs 5.50 lakh from a woman who had come to get the land deed. Under Operation Trinetra, the robber captured in CCTV camera was traced by Kotwali Nagar police and surveillance team and two accused were arrested in a night encounter on Post Mortem House Road. The police team has recovered Rs 1 lakh 11 thousand 100 from the looted amount. Two illegal arms, cartridges and two stolen motorcycles used in the robbery have also been recovered from them. Both the robbers are residents of Katihar district of Bihar. Many criminal cases are also registered against both of them. SP City Madhuban Singh said that information is being collected from them about the incidents committed in other districts also.
