In the Lok Sabha elections of Ambedkar Nagar, the electoral equation in Ayodhya’s Gosaiganj seat has made the contest interesting. Here the prestige of two arch rivals, a strongman MLA and a former MLA, is at stake. Though there are chances of a direct contest between the BJP and the Samajwadi Party, but the BSP is also making its presence felt.
Before voting in Gosaiganj assembly constituency, the main fight has been narrowed down to between BJP candidate Ritesh Pandey and SP’s Lalji Verma. BSP candidate Qamar Hayat is also hopeful from Muslim and Dalit dominated areas. A total of eight candidates are trying their luck on Ambedkar Nagar seat. After the noise of election campaign stopped on Thursday evening, the strategy of going door to door and winning the candidates in their favor is being implemented.

Apart from this, BJP, SP and BSP, all three parties have made a plan to bring voters out of their homes and to the polling booth with the help of their organizations and supporters. There are plans to focus on this during voting on Saturday. The low voter turnout in all the four assembly constituencies of Faizabad seat as compared to the last election has alerted the strategists of the candidates here. They believe that if the voting percentage here also goes down like the assembly constituencies of Faizabad, then the game may be spoilt.
Amidst all this, the voters here have witnessed some surprising developments in this Lok Sabha election. Technically, the SP MLA and the former BJP MLA, who are strong political opponents of each other, are this time leading the election campaign here in support of the BJP candidate.
The SP MLA has done this work from behind the scenes and has put his father and wife in the forefront, while the former BJP MLA is openly active in the election field. Such a scene has never been seen before on this seat.
