The splendor of Jhoolnotsav has started spreading in hundreds of temples of Ramnagari, but the tradition of Jhoolnotsav in Ramlala’s court is different from other temples. The joy of Jhoolnotsav will overflow in Ram temple from Friday i.e. Naag Panchami. Ramlala along with his four brothers will sit on the silver swing and give darshan to the devotees for a fortnight. The swing has been decorated in the Gudhi Mandap in front of the sanctum sanctorum on Thursday evening. Ramlala will be made to sit on the swing on Friday morning. Ramlala will give darshan to the devotees from a distance of 20 feet.
The historic Sawan swing fair of Ramnagari has started. The temples of Ayodhya have different traditions of Jhoolanotsav. Here, in most of the temples, Jhoolanotsav has started from Sawan Shukla Tritiya, while in some temples, Jhoolanotsav will start from Panchami Tithi and in some from Ekadashi. The Acharya temple including Ramlala is prominent among the major temples where Jhoolanotsav will be celebrated from Panchami Tithi. Ram temple priest Prem Chandra Tripathi said that the festival idol of Ramlala will be seated on the swing. Apart from this, the idols of Bharat, Laxman, Shatrughan and Hanuman ji will also be seated on the swing. Till Rakshabandhan, devotees will have darshan of Ramlala along with his brothers sitting on the swing. This is the first Jhoolanotsav after the Pran Pratishtha of Ramlala, hence the outline of various religious and cultural programs has been prepared.
The trust had constructed the swing in 2021
Dr. Anil Mishra, a member of Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Tirth Kshetra Trust, said that the celebration of Sawani culture will begin from Friday in the court of Ramlala seated in Ram Mandir. Ramlala will sit in a 21 kg silver swing and give darshan to the devotees. This swing was built in 2021. Earlier, Ramlala used to swing on a wooden swing. It was told that a cultural evening will also be organized every day from 6 to 7 pm, special bhog will be offered.
