In front of Ram temple in Ayodhya, Jalwanpura Mohalla residents will now get rid of the problem of waterlogging. From here, a pump house has been constructed at a cost of Rs 37.50 crore for drainage of rain water from the pond in Kshirsagar. The pump house was inaugurated on Thursday by Mayor Mahant Girishpati Tripathi and Commissioner Gaurav Dayal. On this occasion, the Mayor said that in collaboration with the Housing and Urban Planning Department, two 3200 meters long pipeline has been laid from Kshirsagar pond to Ramghat intersection to Sotia Nalla. Through this, rainwater will flow into the river Saryu. The commissioner said that six pumps have been installed under this project at a cost of Rs 37.48 crore. It has two diesel pumps of 254 horsepower. While four electric pumps are 180 horsepower. The depth of Sampwwl (measure) is 6.50 meters. The capacity of the pump is 20 thousand liters per minute. With this, one lakh liters of water in the catchment area can be collected and 4.50 lakh liters of water can be transported to the Sotia drain through the pipeline. The capacity of both the pipeline is storing 1.4 million liters of water.
