
State Governor Anandiben Patel laid the foundation stone of 70 new Anganwadi center buildings to be built at a cost of Rs 8.288 crore in 15 wards of Ayodhya Dham. During this period, an MoU of four crore rupees was signed from 18 companies in the presence of the Governor in the second CSR Conclave of the state. The Governor reached Dr. Ram Manohar Lohia Awadh University on Monday amid heavy rains. He handed over the gift of new Anganwadi centers at the CSR Conclave held in Swami Vivekananda Auditorium of the university. For the first time in Ayodhya, the buildings of Anganwadi center will also be constructed in the urban area. During this period, MoUs were signed from companies like Indian Railway Finance Corporation, Philips India, Power Grid and Colgate. Through these, children’s education will be encouraged at Anganwadi centers. Also, the picture of Kasturba Gandhi Girls Schools will change. Apart from this, there will be other development works. In the ceremony organized during this time, the Governor said that a lab will be established in various districts of Uttar Pradesh to study natural disasters like earthquake and tsunami. For this, the Government of India has taken initiative and provided funds. Through these labs, the youth will get a chance to do research towards preventing natural disasters. A similar lab will also be set up in Ayodhya.
