Ayodhya. These days fire is raining from the sky. In such a situation, even a little carelessness is taking a toll on people’s health and they are suffering from vomiting, diarrhea and other infectious diseases and are reaching the hospital. The situation is such that in the last 24 hours, 12 patients suffering from vomiting and diarrhea have been admitted to the district hospital. The medical ward is now full due to this crowd of patients. Patients even have to lie in the gallery outside the ward.

The day temperature has reached 43 degrees Celsius. People leave their homes without making any arrangements to protect themselves from this scorching sun. Because of this he is becoming a victim of dehydration. Whereas, during marriages, some bacteria are entering people’s bodies through food and making them sick.

A 34-bed medical ward has been made in the 212-bed district hospital. Patients related to the medicine department are admitted here. On Sunday it was found packed with patients. Of these, 12 patients were suffering from vomiting and diarrhea and two were suffering from high fever. Whereas, jaundice and other problems were also reported in some patients. Due to lack of space in the ward, four patients were admitted in the gallery outside the ward. At the same time, eight patients were admitted to the former women’s ward. In this way, 46 patients were admitted in the medicine department.

OPD is also filled with similar patients

Medical College physician Dr. Virendra Verma said that the number of patients suffering from vomiting, diarrhea and other infectious diseases is high in OPD also. At the same time, about 10 percent of the patients in the ward are admitted due to vomiting and diarrhea.

Now the risk of heat stroke is increasing

Dr. Prashant Dwivedi, physician of the district hospital, told that the way the sun’s temperature is continuously increasing. In such a situation, the risk of heat stroke has started increasing. Its initial symptoms have also started appearing in patients.

Health department has issued advisory

The Health Department has issued an advisory to avoid heat stroke. According to this, if you leave the house, keep a water bottle with you. Keep yourself fresh by using plain water, lemon water, buttermilk and ORS from time to time. Avoid strong sunlight, use dark glasses and umbrella. Wear light colored loose clothes. Do not stay in the sun for too long. Do not consume excessive tea, coffee or carbonated soft drinks. Do not consume drugs and alcohol. Do not eat stale food. Do not go out barefoot. In case of problem, contact a doctor at the nearest hospital.

Patients falling ill due to heat are reaching CHC

Amidst the scorching heat, the number of patients suffering from vomiting and diarrhea has increased in government and private hospitals even in rural areas. Most of the patients are reaching CHC Bikapur suffering from these problems. 250 to 300 patients are being registered every day in the OPD of CHC. Out of these, about 70 percent patients are suffering from vomiting, diarrhea, body ache and skin diseases. Whereas even in the emergency of the hospital, 25 to 30 patients are arriving every day. About 30 to 35 patients are being admitted and treated every day. Superintendent Dr. Awadhesh Singh said that a four-bed cold room has been made to prevent heat stroke. Glucose, ORS powder and adequate medicines are available in the hospital.

Cold room built in Milkipur CHC

Community Health Center Milkypur has been alerted regarding the ongoing heat wave amid the scorching heat. A six-bed cold room has been made in the main building of the hospital. In this, to keep the patient at a balanced temperature, arrangements for coolers have been made by the hospital administration. Amidst the scorching heat, a large number of patients suffering from viral fever and vomiting and diarrhea are reaching the hospital. CHC Superintendent Dr. Pradeep said that all the medicines have been arranged in the cold room to deal with the heat wave. Doctors deployed in emergency have been alerted.
