There was chaos after a gas cylinder caught fire in a shop in Ashwanipuram Colony of Ayodhya Nagar Kotwali area on Wednesday morning. By the time the fire brigade and Devkali police extinguished the fire with the help of local people, all the goods in the shop were burnt to ashes.

The house of Ram Ganesh Maurya, resident of Ashwini Puram, is situated on Devkali Fatehganj Road. They run a tea-water hotel in a tin shed shop in front of the house. On Wednesday morning his family members were making tea and water in the hotel. During this time suddenly the cylinder caught fire.

Devkali outpost in-charge Anurag Pathak reached the spot with the team and also informed the fire squad. He said that there was no loss of life.
