A gathering of devotees was seen on Paush Purnima on the banks of Saryu in Ramnagari Ayodhya on Monday. The process of bathing and donating in Saryu and darshan and worshiping in temples started from Brahma Muhurta and continued till late evening. A large number of devotees took a dip in the holy Salila Saryu and did charity.

After this, the convoy of devotees started moving towards various temples for darshan and worship. Extensive security arrangements were made by the administration. Surveillance around major temples was done through CCTV.
Even in the winter season, on Paush Purnima on Monday, there was enthusiasm among the devotees for bathing and donating. Devotees took a dip in Saryu and worshiped and did charity. As the rays of the sun rose higher, the caravan of devotees also kept reaching for the bath.
Even cold proved to be dwarf in front of faith. After taking bath in Saryu river, devotees took Saryu water and performed Jalabhishek, Dugdhabhishek and worship at the mythological Shiva temple Nageshwarnath. After this, a procession of devotees set out to attend Kanak Bhawan, Hanumangarhi and Ramlala’s court.
There was a queue of devotees for darshan and worship in Hanumangarhi. Devotees also paid obeisance in the court of Ramlala and Kanak Bhawan. The process of darshan and worship continued throughout the day. Tight security arrangements were made by the administration. The command of security remained in the hands of magistrates. There was strict police vigil at Saryu Ghats.
