The work of decorating Ayodhya for the festival of lights has been expedited. The aura of the festival of lights will be seen spreading for two kilometers in Ayodhyadham. Grand lighting is being done from Rampath to Dharampath. Gates are also being built giving the feel of Ramayana era. The construction of Lakshman and Sita Dwar on Ram Ki Paadi is in the final stage. The work of decorating Ayodhyadham will be completed by 25th October.
The government and administration are engaged in bringing alive scenes similar to the way Ayodhya was decorated to welcome Shri Ram who returned to Ayodhya after 14 years after conquering Lanka. The devotees reaching Ayodhya for the Deepotsav will feel the Ramayana era at every step. Dharampath and Rampath will also be illuminated. For this, Taj Radio and Electric Company of Lucknow has been given the responsibility of arranging lighting. Work is being done to prepare the lights by setting up an electrician camp near Ram Katha Park.
Preparations are being made to arrange grand lighting in an area of more than two kilometers along Rampath and Dharampath. The pillar is being prepared with decorative wall, electric gate and artificial electric lights. Apart from this, about 30 entry archways based on Ramkatha will also be built from Dharampath to Ramkatha Park. Scenes from Ramkatha will be shown on these. Grand archways will also be built on the ghats of Saryu which will enhance the aura of the ghats. Fireworks will also be set off on the old bridge of Saryu during the Deepotsav.
18 tableaux will be displayed on the festival of lights
Tourism Officer Rajendra Prasad Yadav said that various types of tableaux will also be organized in the Deepotsav. The tender process for preparing the tableaux has been completed by the Information and Tourism Department. 18 tableaux are being made to stage the Ramayana period in Saket College on 30th October, out of which 11 tableaux will be prepared by the Information Department and seven tableaux by the Tourism Department. These tableaux will also be seen giving social messages.
