Chaitra Navratri started from Sunday with reverence and devotion in Ayodhya. On this festival of Shakti worship, devotees went to various Devi temples and offered prayers. Crowds of devotees thronged in the city including Badi Devkali Temple, Chhoti Devkali Temple, Hatti Maharani, Jalpa Devi in the city since morning. Devotees visited the Mother Goddess and prayed for happiness and prosperity. Aarti was also organized in temples along with special worship. According to the priests, worship on Navratri has special significance, due to which there is happiness and peace in the family. Special arrangements were made for devotees in the temple courtyard. Devotees received blessings by offering coconut, chunri and prasad to the goddess. On this occasion, a devotional atmosphere was seen in the entire city.
