Bhelsar/Baba Bazar. There was a lot of uproar in the meeting of the newly created Maa Kamakhya Nagar Panchayat Board. On Tuesday, the councilors boycotted the meeting, accusing the EO and the Nagar Panchayat President of getting the work done arbitrarily and many other serious allegations. After this, the angry councilors have also submitted a complaint letter to the EO.

There are a total 15 wards in the Nagar Panchayat. 11 elected councilors from there boycotted the board meeting. The councilors have made several serious allegations by giving a complaint letter to the EO. It has been said in the charge sheet that in the last one and a half years, not a single work has been done out of the proposals for which approval was given in the first board meeting. Ward 4 councilor Ajit Pratap Singh said that it has been one and a half years since the formation of the Nagar Panchayat. Five works were proposed in the first meeting itself, but not a single work has been done out of them. Ward 6 councilor Kedar Nath alleged that the work on the schemes is being done arbitrarily in all the wards.

Ward 7 councillor Jitendra Singh says that the EO and the Nagar Panchayat Chairman do not understand the board meeting at all. If no work was done on the proposals of the first meeting, what is the meaning of the second meeting? Ward 15 councillor representative Pradeep Yadav says that the work of interlocking and drain construction is being done arbitrarily in the ward. Ward 13 councillor representative Shiv Magan Yadav, ward 9 councillor representative Dharmendra Gupta, ward 1 councillor representative Laxman Lal etc. say that while proposals worth the maximum amount of money are approved at some places, many wards are left untouched. This will not be tolerated at all.

Development work will be done with five crores

EO Nikhilesh Mishra said that development work worth Rs 5 crore will be done in the Nagar Panchayat after completing the quorum of the board meeting. Rejecting the allegations of the councilors, he said that whatever proposals are given by the councilors in the board meeting are implemented. Chairman Sheetla Prasad Shukla said that there is no information about the boycott of the meeting. Development work of the wards will be done by coordinating with all the councilors.
