Kumarganj. The 26th convocation of the Agricultural University will be celebrated with great pomp on Thursday in the auditorium of Agri Business Management. On Thursday, the Chancellor will give gold medals to 27 meritorious students. 595 students will be awarded degrees. The convocation will begin at 11 am. The state’s Governor/Chancellor Anandiben Patel will preside over the ceremony.
The chief guest of the ceremony will be the Chairman of the Board of Directors and former Vice Chancellor of Marathwada Agricultural University, Parbhani, Maharashtra, Dr. C.D. Mai. Agriculture Minister Surya Pratap Shahi will attend the convocation as a special guest. To make the ceremony grand, Vice Chancellor Dr. Bijendra Singh held a meeting with the committee chairmen and members on Wednesday and finalized it. The Vice Chancellor reached the venue to review the preparations before the rehearsal, took stock of the arrangements, discussed about the parking space and also gave necessary instructions to the officials.
Rehearsal of the convocation ceremony was done on Wednesday. The academic procession was taken out which reached the auditorium of Agri Business Management. After this, rehearsal of Jal Bharo program was done and the students presented the college song and national anthem. During the rehearsal, rehearsal was done from degree distribution to distribution of gold medals. Vice Chancellor Dr. Bijendra Singh gave the convocation. The department heads administered the oath of degree to the students.

Security officer of Agriculture University R.K. Singh said that the ceremony will start at 11 am. All the invited visitors must take their seats in the auditorium of Agri Business by 10 am. Entry will not be allowed without the convocation invitation card. It will be mandatory for everyone to bring an identity card with them. People arriving for the ceremony will have to park their vehicles on the Veterinary College Ring Road from the DAV School side.
