Ayodhya. The Chief Medical Officer’s office has been accused of scams in various tenders and purchases. The government has taken cognizance of the complaint made by Rudauli MLA in this regard. On the instructions of the government, the Additional Director has started investigating the matter. At the same time, this action of the government has caused panic in the health department.
Rudauli MLA Ramchandra Yadav has attached a complaint letter from a person named Devki Nandan with the complaint letter. The letter alleges that the work of 55 lakhs in the ambulance tender in the CMO office has been increased to 94 lakhs. A single bid was made in this, which was not approved by any officer. The District Magistrate and his member Finance and Accounts Officer were also removed from the committee. After this, instead of giving the tender to the L-1 I firm of 84 lakhs, the tender was given to a firm of 93 lakhs.
It is alleged that in the financial year 2023-24, tenders were made on the Gem portal for the amount of crores of rupees received in the fair, but without completing the tender, the work was directly given to the firms at higher rates. In this financial year, all the tenders were given to the firms of the same person. Mostly, the firms of only one organization / person were qualified in the technical bid and the remaining firms were disqualified.
Copies of the technical bids of the firms are not being taken out and are not being signed by the committee members; technical charts are being made and given to everyone for signature. Goods are being purchased at a rate higher than the market rate. Taking cognizance of this complaint made on August 2, Principal Secretary to the Chief Minister, Sanjay Prasad has directed the Principal Secretary Health to investigate the matter and take action soon. The Principal Secretary has ordered the Additional Director Health to investigate.
