In the case of kidnapping and assault of a youth in a land dispute, the police have registered a case under various sections against three people, including Ajit Prasad, son of MP Awadhesh Prasad and Samajwadi Party candidate from Milkipur assembly constituency in the by-election.

In the FIR lodged, Ravi Tiwari, a resident of Palia Risali of Purakalandar police station area, said that he had given one lakh rupees to Shitla Prasad, a resident of Ankwara, in exchange for selling his land. He got this land registered in the name of the MP’s sons Ajit Prasad and Raju Yadav. Ajit Prasad had given him a cheque of one lakh rupees.

On September 21, he was standing near the State Bank of India branch in Civil Lines. Then MP’s son Ajit Prasad, constable Shashikant Rai and Raju Yadav arrived and forcibly made him sit in the car, also beat him up and left him after taking him some distance away. Inspector in charge Ashwani Pandey said that a case has been registered on the basis of the complaint. The matter is being investigated.
