On not receiving the compensation amount, the aggrieved farmer staged a sit -in at the DM office along with the family. The City Magistrate, who reached the spot, has assured to investigate by taking an application. The family then ended the picket. The aggrieved farmer said that his land was acquired in the construction of Rae Bareli highway five years ago but it was not received proper compensation. The compensation amount was grabbed by his brother. If he did not get justice for five years, today DM had to sit on the office with family. The case is of Daulatpur village in Purakalandar police station area. Farmer Shatrughan Yadav sat on a dharna in front of the District Magistrate’s Office at Collectorate on Monday afternoon. He demanded that a case be filed against the accused and they should be given their right. On receiving the information, City Magistrate Rajesh Mishra, who reached the spot, said that the victim farmer alleges that the amount of compensation has been incorrectly withdrawn. The case will be investigated and if the allegations are found to be correct, action will be taken against the culprits.
