Ayodhya: Voting continues for two seats of village head

After Milkipur, voting is going on for two seats of village head in the panchayat by -election. Polling is going on at the booths of Bhitora and Vandanpur Gram Panchayat of Maya Bazar block. Voters started arriving from 7:00 am. During this time strict security arrangements have also been made. Four booths have been built in both gram panchayats for voting. Polling parties reached here a day earlier with the police force.

The voting process started on Wednesday morning amidst the security arrangements of the force of the police station. Voting is being done through ballot papers. Voting will run till 5:00 pm. 2518 voters will exercise their franchise in Bhitaura and 2594 in Vandanpur. Zonal Magistrate SDM Sadar Vikasadhar Dubey is constantly visiting all booths.

Apart from these, Tehsildar Sadar Pradeep Chaudhary and Naib Tehsildar Gauri Shankar Verma are inspecting booths as Sector Magistrates. After the voting is over at 5:00 pm, the ballot boxes will be kept in the strong room of the block headquarters. The counting of votes will be held here on 21 February. After this the result will be declared.

Maya, Sati Prasad, Ram Naresh, Ramayagya and Sunita are trying their luck for the post of Pradhan in Vandanpur, the Gram Panchayat of Maya Bazar. There is a contest between Shivani Verma, Pramila Yadav, Shakuntala and Lalti Yadav in Gram Panchayat Bhitaura.
