SP MP Avdhesh Prasad reached a village in Khandasa police station area of Ayodhya district on Saturday night to meet the rape victim and her family on the third day after the case was registered in the incident. The victim’s family refused to meet the SP MP. However, the SP MP assured the villagers present about the safety of the girl and her family, compensation and action against the culprits.
When the villagers came to know that the SP MP has come to meet the victim’s family, a large number of villagers gathered. They started telling the MP that you are coming on the third day of the incident and that too in the dark of the night. Some people were also saying that you are the king of Ayodhya, then why have you come to meet so late in the night.
When the victim’s family refused to meet him, the MP told the villagers gathered there that we stand with the victim. We will provide security and compensation. The villagers said that the victim’s family is being threatened with death by the accused’s family. On this the MP said that we have come, now no one will be able to threaten you people.
Action is being taken against those who have committed this crime. They will be awarded death penalty. There was darkness in the village due to lack of electricity, people were listening to the MP by using mobile lights and torches.
