The two-day meeting of Ram Mandir Construction Committee ended on Monday. In the meeting, Chairman of the Temple Construction Committee, Nripendra Mishra reviewed the construction works of Ram Mandir including Parkota, Sapt Mandapam. In the progress report submitted to Nripendra by the executing agency of the temple construction, it has been asked to extend the time limit for the construction of the parkota. Due to which the wall work will not be completed this year. The deadline for its construction has been extended by three months.
After the meeting, Chairman of Ram Mandir Construction Committee, Nripendra Mishra said that earlier the target was set to complete the work of Ram Mandir along with the ramparts by December 2024. The executing agencies L&T and TC say that they cannot compromise with quality. Therefore now the work of the wall will not be completed this year. For this, the time has been extended by three more months. Now the wall work will be completed by March 2025. Told that about eight lakh cubic feet of stones are being installed in the 800 meter long wall.
Nripendra said that the wall has been designed in such a way that it will act as a circumambulation path along with the security wall of the temple. Devotees will be able to circumambulate the temple through the circumambulation path built in the park. 112 windows are also being made in the wall. Besides, murals based on Ramkatha will also be painted at 100 places. General Secretary of Ram Mandir Trust Champat Rai, Chief Architect of the temple Ashish Sompura, temple construction in-charge Gopal Rao along with engineers from L&T and Tata Consultancy were present in the meeting.
