Expansion

The shackles of traffic restrictions that had been imposed on Ramnagari for a long time have now been removed to a large extent. The administration and police have relaxed many security restrictions. Barriers have been removed from Teedi Bazaar crossing. Four-wheelers have started getting entry from here to Shri Ram Hospital near Ram Janmabhoomi Path. Vehicles will not be stopped at Ramghat crossing either.

Apart from the major festivals, there is a huge crowd of devotees in Ayodhya on weekends i.e. Saturday and Sunday. Till now, the local people as well as the devotees coming from all over the country were facing the brunt of traffic restrictions during this time. The people living in Ramnagari had to face many troubles due to security reasons even on normal days. A lot of relief has been given in this from Saturday.

The residents of Ramkot have got the most relief due to the relaxation in traffic restrictions. Earlier, only those vehicles which had special permission or had a yellow zone pass could cross the Teedi Bazaar barrier and Gokul Bhawan barrier. Now four-wheelers from Teedi Bazaar can reach Rampath directly via Katra, Asharfi Bhawan.

However, the entry of four-wheelers towards Ramjanmabhoomi from Unwal barrier is still prohibited. Only those vehicles will be allowed to go here, which have been given permission from the control room. The entry of four-wheelers from Ramghat intersection was also prohibited till now, but from Saturday smooth movement has started here. SP City Madhuban Singh said that some relaxation has been given in the restrictions for the convenience of devotees and local residents. According to security standards, checking and vigilance will remain the same as before.
