Be it common or special, now no one will be able to take mobile phones to Ram Mandir. This decision has been taken in the meeting of Ram Mandir Trust and administration on Friday. There was already a ban on carrying mobile phones for common devotees. Now even VIPs and VVIPs will not be able to carry mobile phones. It has been claimed that strict monitoring will be done to ensure that mobile phones do not enter the premises. This decision is being linked to the incident of the photo of the broken idol in the pillar of Ram Mandir going viral. However, the trust says that mobile phones have been banned in the premises for security reasons.
Since Pran Pratishtha, devotees kept carrying mobile phones in Ram Mandir without any restriction. Then some strictness was imposed and common devotees were prohibited from carrying mobile phones. Meanwhile, the trust started the system of easy and special darshan. Under this, those with special passes will be allowed to carry one mobile phone. Also, VIPs and VVIPs were also exempted from carrying mobile phones.
Questions were also being raised as to why the trust and administration are discriminating between common and special devotees. However, now this system has been completely banned. Ram Mandir Nirman Samiti Chairman Nripendra Mishra, Ram Mandir Trust General Secretary Champat Rai, Trustee Dr Anil Mishra, Divisional Commissioner Gaurav Dayal, IG Praveen Kumar, SP Security Pankaj Pandey were present in the meeting.
Common devotees were annoyed
Ram Mandir Trustee Dr Anil Mishra says that there was a security risk if mobile phones were brought inside the Ram Mandir premises. Also, it was irritating to the common devotees. People started taking photos and selfies in the queue for darshan. This did not seem right. The system of easy and special darshan will remain in place as before, but mobile phones will be banned.
SP Security Pankaj Pandey said that this system will be strictly followed. Every devotee will be checked at the checking point.
