The gang rape victim was admitted to King George Medical University (KGMU) on Monday. She is being treated in the gynecology and obstetrics department here. The rape victim admitted to the district women’s hospital was referred to Lucknow. CMO Dr. Sanjay Jain took the victim to Lucknow in an ambulance amid tight security.
The victim of the Bhadarsa rape case is carrying a 12-week-old foetus in her womb. Doctors said that her delivery is also not possible as she is physically and mentally incapable of doing so. The other option is abortion, but in both the cases the victim’s life is said to be in danger. The district hospital did not have enough specialist doctors and resources for such risky treatment.
Regarding this, CMO Dr. Sanjay Jain held a meeting with CMS of Women’s Hospital Dr. Vibha Kumar, Superintendent Dr. Asharam and other experts on Monday. During the discussion, it was decided to refer the girl to Lucknow. The Child Welfare Committee also agreed to this, so the girl was referred to Lucknow under tight security at around 12 noon on Monday.
Superintendent Dr. Asharam said that a team of the health department has also left in the ambulance with the girl, who will take care of the girl on the way. City police chief Ashwini Pandey said that the girl has been sent to Lucknow amid tight security. Meanwhile, KGMU spokesperson Prof. Sudhir Singh said that the girl has been admitted at three in the afternoon. All her primary tests have been done. A team of experts is assessing the complications.
The minds of those standing with the criminal should be examined: Bhatia
BJP leader Gaurav Bhatia said in the case that the minds of those who are standing with the criminal should be examined. Taking a jibe at Akhilesh Yadav, he said, those who do politics in the name of backward castes are doing cheap and cheap politics on the heinous crime committed against a small girl. Sir, do not play this disgusting trick with a minor girl.
