Surya Tilak on Ram Navami, trial successful
The video of the successful trial conducted on April 8 regarding Ram Lalla’s Surya Tilak is going viral on social media. On April 17, the day of Ram Janmotsav, at exactly 12 o’clock the sun’s rays will do Surya Tilak of Ramlala.
In the one minute 19 second video, Acharya Satyendra Das, the chief archer of Ram temple, is performing the aarti of Ramlala. Meanwhile, the sun’s rays are seen illuminating the face of Ramlala. The music of Ram Siyaram, Siyaram Jai Jai Ram playing in the background is enjoyable. It has been told that scientists will conduct another trial of Surya Tilak on Sunday before Ram Navami.
Sun rays will be brought to the sanctum sanctorum of the temple
In Project Surya Tilak, a gear box, reflective mirror and lens have been arranged in such a way that the sun’s rays will be brought to the sanctum sanctorum from the third floor near the peak of the temple. In this the principles of changing the path of the Sun will be used. CBRI scientist Dr. Pradeep Chauhan said that 100 percent Surya Tilak will be anointed on the forehead of Ramlala’s idol.
This is how the entire mechanism was prepared
A team of scientists from Central Building Research Institute (CBRI) Roorkee has prepared the Surya Tilak Mechanism. It took the team two full years to prepare its design. Work on the design of Ram temple started in 2021. A team of scientists from CBRI has designed the Surya Tilak mechanism in such a way that every year on the day of Ram Navami, at 12 noon, the sun’s rays will fall on the forehead of the idol of Lord Ram for about four minutes. In this construction work, along with CBRI, technical help regarding the path of the Sun has also been taken from the Indian Institute of Astrophysics (IIA), Bangalore. Optica, a Bengaluru-based company, has manufactured the lens and brass tube.
