Expansion
Soon, the devotees and locals visiting Ramnagari will be able to enjoy Chowpatty on the lines of Juhu in Mumbai. This Chowpatty will be built on Ram Ki Paidi on the banks of Saryu. The Housing Department has approved the proposal of Ayodhya Development Authority (ADA) and sanctioned Rs 4.65 crore.
The ADA has prepared an action plan to convert a part of Ram Ki Paidi into a Chowpatty. Here, along with the devotees coming to see Ramlala, the local people will also be able to taste various types of dishes. Since the Pran Pratishtha of Ramlala, the number of devotees coming here has increased manifold. Even at present, one lakh people are reaching Ayodhya every day.
In this series, a food area will be developed on the lines of Chowpatty at Ram Ki Paidi. Permanent and temporary shops will be built here. These shops will sell local dishes of Ayodhya as well as other food items. Along with beautification of the area marked for Chowpatty, special attention will also be paid to cleanliness. 84 shops and restaurants will be built here. Parking facility will also be provided.
Platforms will be made for people to sit
Platforms will be made at some places on Ram Ki Paidi so that people can sit here and spend some time on the banks of Saryu. Modernly designed carts will also be operated at some places. Dustbins will be placed at various places to prevent the spread of dirt here. Along with this, various types of construction and other development works will also be done keeping in mind the convenience of tourists. ADA Secretary Satyendra Singh said that 45 percent of the construction and development work of Chowpatty has been completed so far. Before Deepotsav, the gift of Chowpatty will be available on Ram Ki Paidi.
